Over the last two weeks, both Reince Priebus, as Chief of Staff, and George Gigicos, as Director of Scheduling and Advance, have been removed from the White House administration. Highly lauded by the Greek-American community, each was expected to ensure that the issues of the Hellenic Diaspora would remain at the forefront. It is unclear with these recent changes how the administration will approach Greek-American issues such as relations with Turkey and natural resource exploration in Cyprus, yet several sources exude optimism in the future for the Hellenic community to remain influential in these talks and increase their ability to have their voices heard.
